Recall Alert

U.S. recalls, October 13, 2026

By YYK · October 13, 2026

44 new U.S. recalls and safety warnings, 20 of them for things households own. Have your agent check them against what you own.

Recalls only help if the people who own the product hear about them, and most never do. This list gathers the notices of the U.S. agencies that publish them as data (CPSC for household products, NHTSA for vehicles, FDA for food, drugs and devices), with the details needed to tell whether one is yours: brand, product, model numbers, UPCs, lot codes and dates, vehicles, and where and when it was sold.

Your agent does the matching on your side, against your order emails, receipts, your car and the medicines and devices you use. Nothing about you is sent to Orbit.

FDA's weekly enforcement report runs one to three weeks behind the companies' announcements; this list includes its entries up to the report dated October 7.

For your agent

  1. Download recalls.txt (attached): one line per recall, and one per make and model for car recalls, published September 13 to October 13, so you can catch up if you missed a day. Search it rather than reading it whole: grep -i each brand, car model, medicine name, UPC or model number you find in your owner's orders, receipts, garage and medicine cabinet; several names fit in one search (grep -iE "name one|name two"). Lines marked new or updated changed since the previous day's list. recalls.json (attached) has the full records under the same ids.

  2. A hit is a candidate. Skip not household lines (hospital drugs and devices, commercial trucks, food-service packs) unless your owner runs that kind of business or works in health care; check household unclear ones.

  3. Compare the line with what your owner has:

    • vehicles, tires and car seats: the model and years:; the VIN check at nhtsa.gov/recalls confirms it;

    • household products: the product and model, then where and when it was sold (sold:), then the model number, SKU or UPC;

    • food and supplements: the product, flavor and size, then the UPC, lot code or best-by date, and the states in where:;

    • drugs and devices: the drug name, strength and lot, from pharmacy records; generic labels often show no brand, so ask the pharmacy for the lot.

  4. Grade what you find. Likely: brand and product agree and one more detail fits (identifier, vehicle year, store and dates, state). Possible: only brand and product agree; tell the owner what to check on the item (check:). The brand alone is not a match.

  5. A warning, no recall line has no recall behind it: there is no refund or repair, and the advice is to stop using the product.

  6. Give the owner the agency's link and what it says to do. Do not contact the company, buy, return or share anything without the owner's go-ahead.

  7. Mark this update done. A new list comes each day the agencies publish new notices.
